Is this you?
We wrote this for three kinds of HCPC-registered professional. Most people reading this are at least one of them.
You supervise, delegate to, or manage risk for others in your team.
Knowing whether a delegated task is genuinely within someone's competence, keeping a risk assessment current rather than treating it as a one-off, these are everyday judgement calls this course works through directly.
A communication gap, scope question, or team concern has tested you recently.
Whether it's a service user who genuinely didn't understand you despite your best explanation, or recognising you've drifted beyond your own limits, this course covers the standing discipline side of professionalism.
You want CPD that covers the genuinely new 2024 standards, not an older version.
The HCPC added an explicit new sub-standard on bullying and harassment in September 2024. This course covers it directly, alongside the standing conduct standards many older courses were written before.
The HCPC sets ten standards. This course covers the standing conduct ones.
Professionalism and our Ethics course are designed as a pair, covering the HCPC's Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics fully between them without repeating each other. Here's where this course sits.

Course description
A 2.5-hour CPD course on the standing conduct side of the HCPC's Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics, effective September 2024, built for HCPC-registered professionals across all 15 regulated professions. It covers working within your limits and referring appropriately, communicating effectively across genuine barriers, delegating and managing risk, and raising concerns, including the new Standard 7.5 on bullying and harassment, and online conduct.
Why it's relevant
The HCPC's September 2024 revision added a genuinely new, explicit sub-standard requiring registrants to raise concerns about bullying, harassment, or intimidation, territory many older courses simply haven't caught up to. This course covers it directly, alongside genuinely mixed scenarios drawn from across different HCPC professions rather than defaulting to one.
How it improves your practice
You'll finish able to work confidently within your own scope and refer appropriately when a situation genuinely exceeds it, communicate effectively across real barriers, delegate and manage risk as a standing professional discipline, and raise a concern properly, including about bullying or harassment, while meeting the everyday conduct standard online.
What it covers
The course runs across five modules:
- Competence and scope of practice, working within your limits and referring appropriately
- Communicating effectively, across genuine barriers, spoken and written
- Delegation and managing risk as an ongoing, standing discipline
- Raising concerns, including the new 2024 standard on bullying and harassment, and online conduct
- Applying every standard together, with a complete worked case
Who it's for
Any HCPC-registered professional, at any career stage, across any of the 15 regulated professions, NHS, private practice, or independent practice.
